Google will keep employees working remotely until July 2021.
That was a headline of the recent news I read and Google is not alone, many of the companies are switching to remote work even beyond the pandemic and for all the good reasons:-
As long as you have a strong internet connection and the right tools, you can work from any location.
Feel like working from a cafe today? Or from a tropical island? it’s possible now! Just stick with the deadlines of the work and enjoy the rest of the time. Changing the working environment also improves memory retention and helps you generate more ideas.
Forbes relays that 77% of those who work from home get more done in fewer hours.
The reasons are:- No noisy co-workers who consistently come to your desk to have a quick conversation, no non-scheduled meetings, and no unplanned extra tasks.
How much do you spend on the work lunches? Fuel for your car or tickets for public transport each day? And what about a business wardrobe? Now all these spendings can go to savings!
Morning and night roads are full of traffic, it is especially hard for people in big cities to reach their workplace and get back home. All of these tensions go away with remote work and the best part of it, is that the saved time is yours to spend on the things you love.
With so much flexibility and not feeling consistently watched over, people can do the work easily and spend the rest of the time on their hobbies or with their friends and family.
And of course
We’ll be living in a less polluted world if we reduce vehicle pollution and emissions from cars.
Are you still thinking of switching to remote work? Then here is one more fact:
The number of people who work from home has increased by 140% since 2005.
And that’s only the beginning.
What do Netflix, Western Union, and Starbucks have in common? They are all the companies that pivoted their initial focus into something new and different, eventually becoming industry giants. Let's take a look at the examples.
